Anthony Tumminello

Architect; Vice President

Anthony Tumminello AIA brings with him more than 25 years of practice in Architecture. Following a BA in Architecture from Lehigh University and Masters of Architecture from Columbia University in 2000, Anthony began his career in New York City, working on custom homes and townhouses in Aspen and the Northeast.  He then spent more than five years in Miami, Florida designing and overseeing a number of high-rise, condominium and resort projects in Florida and abroad.  Since 2006, Anthony has been based in Scottsdale, Arizona and in 2014 founded his firm, Arize Architecture Inc.  After a number of successful collaborations together, Arize and Basis formally merged in 2022.  Over his career, Anthony has designed and realized projects for a diverse clientele - including mixed-use and multi-family developments, commercial renovations, educational and cultural institutions, and interior improvements.  During that time, his focus has gravitated towards the unique challenges of envisioning and rehabilitating affordable housing throughout the country. 

By leveraging his diverse design experience and passion for great place-making, Anthony strives to brings a thoughtful and creative perspective to each challenge, while always remaining conscious of efficiency and his client’s unique aesthetic, strategic, and budgetary goals.  Anthony is an NCARB certified, LEED Accredited Professional and is a Registered Architect in a number of states; including Arizona, California, Florida and Wisconsin.  He holds an MBA from the University of Arizona.
