Hale Ohana is a graden apartment complex located just behind the main street of Koloa town, a highly picturesque corner of Kauai. This 515 USDA RD funded property was highly deteriorated due to the constant battering of the salty trade winds that blow in from the nearby sea. The property needed an entire exterior envelope reconstruction. All systems from windows, stairs to siding and roofs were redisgned to take maximum advantage of the original building’s pleasing proportions and provide years of low maintenance, durable service. Standing seam metal roofs allow the property to seamlessly blend into the context.
